Do you have a knack for making movies, or just want to give it a try? For the first time Point TV is holding a short film contest, open to all students at PLNU. Contestants have two weeks (starting now!) to make a short film that is two minutes or less. The film may be any genre, any style, any anything!
Work with a team or work alone. Shoot it on anything you want–DSLR, iPhone, Handicam, Red–it’s up to you. Films will be judged based mostly upon story content, and less on aesthetics, so if you don’t have fancy equipment, don’t worry about it. Just tell the story as best as you can!
Featured submissions will be presented at the PLNU TV and Film Festival in May, and the first-place winner will take home $100. Films must be submitted no later than Sunday, April 27th, at 11 p.m. Films can be entered in one of two ways: 1) Dropped off on a flash drive in the Point TV studio in the back of the library (drives will be returned promptly) or 2) Uploaded onto either Vimeo or Youtube with the link sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please include with your submission 1) Your name(s) 2) Year(s) in school 3) Major(s)
There are no content restrictions on the short film entries, however, films with content inappropriate for viewing at the festival will not be considered for prizes. Point TV Managers may not enter the 2×2 Short Film Contest.
